Themes

The plan: Every day will have a different theme from my list of themes. The original plan was to change it every week or 4 days, but my dad pointed out that it might work better to use the themes as according to how the day goes. The excitement will still be there (changing up the themes), but it will resonate better with what the day's plans and events end up being.

Themes
  • Food
  • Interactions/Dialogue
  • Historical
  • My Day in Lists (blog post is a list, from "adventures we experienced" to "items I purchased")
  • Different and the Same (Post where I note the unique places and experiences that day as well as things that reminded me of home)
  • Song of the Day (Where I pick a song that I think is representative of the day and explain why)
  • Poetry (The blog post is written in poem form)
  • Art/Art History
  • Economy (What makes this particular economy fascinating-- is it a solely fishing town? Do they have a unique export?)
  • Culture (purposely nonspecific theme)
  • Aesthetics/Visuals (Architecture, landscapes, settings, etc.)
  • Questions/Quotes/Philosophy (I pick a cliche question or a famous quote and write about it how it relates to that day's activities)
  • Oddities, Absurdities, and Shiny Trinkets (Things I find, see, buy, witness or experience that are a little offbeat)
  • Funny stories
  • What Time I Woke Up and Why (Dad had the idea for this one-- the time we wake up is often representative of what kind of day we are planning on having)
  • (Com)passion (Writing a daily post when I discover a cause, place, idea, or issue that I care about and/or am passionate about that is directly correlated to the place we are visiting. I am also designating a certain amount of money to this theme, that I will donate as I experience it. I'll let you know how much that will be depending on my generous parents. Did I mention how beautiful my mother looks today? And my father is sitting very well in his chair. Give me money. For charity...)
Please comment on what themes you particularly like! Also comment and like or whatever so I feel like I have a connection to the outside world...
